Defending the Sanctity of Life in the Heart of America!
Activities
The Western Region of the Missouri Right to Life hosts or participates in a variety of events over the course of the calendar year. These include the following:
- Fundraisers such as our annual golf tournament, new ladies' event (coming in 2021), carnation sale, and the celebration of life banquet. These events have proven to be a successful and enjoyable way to raise funds for a worthy cause.
- Festivals at which MRL-wr sponsors a booth to interact with the public and hand out educational pro-life literature and materials. We find this to be an effective way to raise pro-life awareness in our communities.
- Feet-on-the-ground events include the downtown prayer vigil in conjunction with the March for Life in Washington D.C. and the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, lobby day at the capital in Jefferson City, and various life chains and walk-for life-event

Vision
Our ultimate vision is to see hearts moved to value life at all stages and minds motivated to preserve its sanctity in spite of opposition or popular public opinion. Although our vision seeks protection for all life, our emphasis lies in saving the preborn and assisting with the healthy transition of the newly born. Success will be realized when the need for education to increase awareness and knowledge of the truth in order to alter legislation is deemed unnecessary. The will of the nation will be for life, not death.
Mission
The mission of Missouri Right to Life-Western Region is to achieve societal and legal recognition of and respect for the sanctity of human life through all its stages, from the biological beginning of each individual life at conception (whether sexually or asexually), to each person's natural death.
The Region seeks to change public opinion, public policy, the law, and individual behavior through peaceful, legal means. It respects each person's right to life and rejects abortion at all stages and for any reason. The Region also stands against euthanasia, reproductive and therapeutic human cloning, embryonic stem cell research, and any other action that denies the most basic human right to life.

Goals/Purpose

As a branch of the Missouri Right to Life state office, the Western Region employs the dual arms of education and legislation.
- Pro-life educational materials use facts, science, history, and personal testimony to bring the abortion debate to the forefront of the minds of many who otherwise may never stop to think about the importance of this issue.
- Pro-life legislative efforts are facilitated as the number of pro-life supporters increase. When truth is revealed through education, people become more motivated to sign petitions, write letters to their congressmen, march in peaceful protests, etc.
